So I haven't been writing these as often as I meant to, I get kind of lazy with this sort of thing. Anyways, I've come a littler further along the road and I think my photography has improved. I did notice a couple months ago that I had developed a bad habit with my camera - I was "shotgunning" pictures and just hoping one was good. I wanted to force myself to slow down and think about my shots a bit more. So I got a second hand film camera, and I've been loving it. Again, I think it's helped a lot with forcing me to concentrate, and I hope my digital work will be better off for it. Not to mention I've quickly come to love the look of film

Well, I really like taking photos of city streets, the weird lines shapes and spaces that cities can make. Though most of my photos of them (not posted on here) are somewhat lifeless because well... there's nothing alive in them. All of them would look a million times better if there was a person using the space somehow. Sometimes I capture that, sometimes I don't. Also, I really like using my wide angle. Only problem with that is that you can not be inconspicuous when using it - you gotta get close. At least I look like a tourist here ;)

OHkay so here goes a learning curve! I just bought a DSLR and so I thought I'd use this page to upload the results of my wandering about. This journal seems like a good place for me to keep track of my own progress. So far; getting to know all the buttons, and what they do. I have some knowledge of things, but it's just finding out how to do them on this thing that's been my mission this last week or two. I think I'm getting used to it. Also figuring out a good setup for carrying all the bits around with me and easy to access when I see an opportunity, a new backpack/camera bag might be needed. Can't wait 'til it warms up and running about
